The soap opera surrounding Kylian Mbappe’s future is entering its final episodes, with there being nothing closed between Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, however, the French club is continuing to pressure him to renew, with his mother traveling to Doha, Qatar.
PSG are optimistic they can tie Mbappe down to a new deal, and the reality is that this visit from his mother could be potentially key in closing on a renewal agreement.
PSG want to have a French forward in their squad for at least the 2022/23 season, which coincides with the Qatar World Cup, the crowning moment of Qatar’s footballing adventure.
One possibility that is on the table could see Mbappe agree to a two-year extension with PSG, so long as there is a promise that the club will then facilitate his sale should he decide to leave the club at the end of the first season.
