Antonela Roccuzzo, the player’s wife, greeted him as soon as he got off the plane in Rosario on Sunday, having spent time in Buenos Aires with his teammates, and the pair embraced immediately.
Antonela herself had already posted a congratulatory message for her husband shortly after the game against Brazil had ended.
After being reunited with his wife, Messi signed autographs for fans who had gathered at the airport.
