José Mourinho has been fined 50,000 pounds by the FA over his criticism of the refereeing in Chelsea’s loss to Southampton.
The Portuguese coach has also been warned about his conduct and given a suspended one-match stadium ban which will be activated if he is involved in another similar incident in the next 12 months.
Mourinho slammed referee Robert Madley after the Blues slipped to a 3-1 defeat to Southampton on 3rd October. Among other comments, the former Porto, Inter and Real Madrid boss complained about his side not being awarded a penalty, claiming that Madley “was afraid to give it like everyone else” because of the media coverage of Chelsea.
