Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Husband Warns Akpabio: “Respect My Wife”

The ongoing feud between Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has taken a new turn, as her husband, Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, publicly called on Akpabio to treat his wife with dignity and respect.

In a statement issued on Saturday in Warri, Delta State, Uduaghan, the Alema of Warri Kingdom, said he had initially chosen to stay silent but was now compelled to speak due to recent developments.

“I would never trade her for anything, as she is the greatest joy of my life,” he affirmed, emphasizing his unwavering support for Natasha.

Uduaghan described his wife as a dedicated public servant elected by her people due to their love, trust, and confidence in her leadership. He also revealed that Natasha had confided in him about her interactions with Akpabio, whom he once considered a family friend.

“As a traditional leader who upholds family values and respects authority, I approached the matter with maturity and sought to foster peace. I personally met with Akpabio and urged him to treat my wife with the respect she deserves while honouring our friendship,” Uduaghan disclosed.

However, despite what he described as an agreement to resolve the matter amicably, Natasha has continued to express concerns over alleged harassment from the Senate President.

Reaffirming his belief in his wife’s integrity, Uduaghan urged the Senate and Akpabio to handle the situation with fairness while allowing the courts to address the legal issues at hand.
