The Coalition of Orphanages and Children’s Homes in Nigeria (COCHIN) has appreciated Davido, the Afrobeats star, for his financial support.
In February, Davido donated N300 million to orphanage homes across Nigeria, adding that the gesture is part of his annual contribution to the nation.
In a statement on Thursday, COCHIN said 42 out of the 52 orphanage homes under the coalition have benefitted from the funds.
The coalition hailed Davido for his support, adding that his “commitment to loving these forgotten Nigerian children will go a very long way in making a profound impact in their lives.
They added that no “Nigerian or government has given us such magnanimous support”.
Our heartfelt appreciation for your financial support to the Coalition of Orphanages and Children’s Homes in Nigeria (COCHIN),” the statement reads in part.

Davido embarked on the philanthropic gesture in November 2021 — on his birthday.
The ‘Timeless’ hitmaker launched a Twitter fundraiser and donated the N250 million realised to orphanages.
In July last year, the Afrobeats star also gave N237 million to various orphanage homes across Nigeria.
Davido went on to reaffirm his commitment to assist the less privileged in any capacity continually.
