Osas Ighodaro: I initially didn’t want to be on ‘The Ghost and the Tout too’

Osas Ighodaro, the Nigerian-American actress, says she was in “deep depression” before the filming of ‘The Ghost and the Tout too‘, a movie by Toyin Abraham.

The movie star spoke in a recent interview while reflecting on her experience featuring in the star-studded project, which premiered on September 9.

Ighodaro said it was not long after she lost her mother when Abraham approached her for a role in the movie.

The actress said her mother’s demise among other happenings around her left her depressed.

Ighodaro also disclosed that she initially refused to feature in the movie but later resolved to give it a shot due to Abraham’s persistence.

“This film is very special to me. Honestly, I didn’t want to do the project at first because I was going through a lot. My mum passed away during that time so, it took a lot for me to say I want to come back into film,” she said.

“I did not want to do anything then, I was really into depression but since Toyin Abraham was persistent and you know at the end of the day when you’re doing what love, you’ll always discover yourself back.

I’m really grateful to be part of this project. I was in a deep depression before the filming but every day on set, I had to stop myself from crying because Toyin and Mercy Johnson are amazing.”
