Pregnant Woman, Pastor, 2 Others Found Dead

•House-where-pregnant-woman-pastor-and-couple-were-found-dead-in-Offin-Ile-Igbogbo-Ikorodu-Lagos
According to pmnews A pregnant woman, her husband and another couple have reportedly died mysteriously in Otugbua area of Offin-Ile in Ikorodu, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria. The husband of the pregnant woman (name withheld), was said to be a Prophet with a Celestial Church of Christ, CCC, the Gethsemane Parish, in the same area while sources simply called the couple Iya and Baba Ayo.

P.M.NEWS gathered that the incident was confirmed on 2 July, 2014, when the children of the late prophet raised an alarm over their missing dad who reportedly left the house on Saturday, 28 June for the couple’s residence just adjacent the church. Nobody could ascertain the cause of the death but our investigations revealed that the couple may have invited the clergyman and his wife to help them settle a misunderstanding as neighbours said the couple always fought.

The four of them were found dead with their bodies already decomposing days later when the neighbours, with the help of the police, forced the door to the man’s home open. An eyewitness, while recalling the incident, told our correspondent that “the owner of the house, whom we always referred to as Baba Ayo, was an artisan while his wife was a tricycle rider within Ikorodu and they were always having misunderstandings.

“Nobody knows what caused their death to date because their bodies were buried by the policemen who came from the Igbogbo Police Station, almost immediately after the discovery was made that Wednesday.” When P.M.NEWS visited the scene of the incident days after, their neighbours refused to divulge any information relating to the incident as they claimed that they had put the incident behind them.

“There is nothing to talk about again here; the incident has already happened, although people can’t seem to easily forget what happened last week. The dead have since been buried and everybody has continued with his business,” one of the neighbours told our correspondent. Efforts to reach the police for their comment proved futile as they asked our correspondent to speak with the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ngozi Braide. She also did not to pick calls put across to her.
