Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are ready to make it official. The superstar couple will reportedly get married in a civil ceremony this week.
According to TMZ, the rapper and reality star will tie the knot without fanfare before the week is over. Sources close to the couple say that they have obtained a “confidential” marriage license so no one officially knows. It will be a “courthouse wedding” with a lavish ceremony to follow at a later date. It is rumored that the wedding reception will take place in Paris in late May. Kanye and Kim were recently seen touring Château Louis XIV, a 17th century castle right outside the city and the possible site for their nuptials.
Kanye reportedly asked actors James Franco and Seth Rogen to perform their “Bound 2″ video parody at the reception. The groom has been very hands-on with the planning. “Kanye really cares and he’s really passionate about it,” Kim told Jimmy Kimmel. “It makes my job really easy, but I love it ’cause he knows what he wants and I love that about him.”
Once married, Kim will take on Kanye’s last name. This will be the first marriage for Kanye and the third for Kim. The couple got engaged in an over-the-top ceremony at San Francisco’s AT&T Park on Kim’s birthday in October.
