Reality TV star Omashola has sparked controversy with his reaction to the trending drama involving Sophia Egbueje and Burna Boy’s alleged unfulfilled promise of a Lamborghini.
The controversy erupted after Burna Boy was accused of promising Sophia a luxury car in exchange for intimacy but failing to deliver. The news quickly spread across social media, drawing mixed reactions.
Omashola, who is married to a South African woman, joined the conversation by expressing relief that his wife is not Nigerian.
“Thank God my wife no be Naija babe o. How man pikin one take buy Lambo?” he wrote.
His statement, however, did not sit well with many Nigerians, leading to backlash from social media users.
See some reactions below:
- @etsy_cute: “How many Nigerian wives ask their husbands for a Lambo? Please shift.”
- @darkgirl_journal: “What kind of low sense of reasoning is this?”
- @jadecosmetic_ng: “Your daughter is half Naija babe, your sisters and nieces are Nigerian.”
- @kaes_talkcast: “See nonsense talk! Lambo this, Lambo that! A woman literally bought herself a Lambo yesterday. How many Nigerians even own a Lambo before we start making it a gender issue?”
Omashola’s comment has reignited conversations about stereotypes and the portrayal of Nigerian women in relationships.
