Verstappen blasts Hamilton: Dangerous, disrespectful and unsportsmanlike

After leaving hospital following his hefty collision at the British Grand Prix on Sunday, Max Verstappen fumed at Lewis Hamilton for his role in the crash and believes he should’ve received a heftier punishment than a ten-second penalty.

At the start of the race, Verstappen collided with Hamilton as the Red Bull driver looked to get ahead of the Mercedes man.

Hamilton was hit with a ten-second penalty before going on to win the race, yet Verstappen blasted the Englishman for the manner in which he celebrated and felt that more severe punishment should’ve been handed out.

“Glad I’m ok. Very disappointed with being taken out like this,” Verstappen tweeted.

The penalty given does not help us and doesn’t do justice to the dangerous move Lewis made on track.

“Watching the celebrations while still in hospital is disrespectful and unsportsmanlike behaviour but we move on.”
