The Lionesses secured their second consecutive Euros title after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Spain in the final on Sunday.

The victory sparked nationwide celebrations, culminating in a grand parade where Burna Boy, the favourite artiste of England’s coach Sarina Wiegman, took the stage to entertain fans and players alike.

The Afrofusion icon treated the crowd to a mesmerising live rendition of For My Hand, his global hit featuring British superstar Ed Sheeran.

Fans and players erupted in cheers as the Grammy-winning artiste delivered a high-energy performance, with Wiegman herself singing and dancing joyfully alongside him on stage.

Born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy gained fame after releasing Like to Party, the lead single from his debut album L.I.F.E (2013).

Since then, he has released seven albums: L.I.F.E (2013), On a Spaceship (2015), Outside (2018), African Giant (2019), Twice As Tall (2020), Love, Damini (2022) and I Told Them‘ (2023).

The 34-year-old recently released his eighth studio album titled ‘No Sign of Weakness.
He is regarded as one of Afrobeats’ big 3 and one of Africa’s most successful artistes.
Burna Boy has also won several awards. In 2021, the Afrofusion artiste won the Best World Music Album’ category at the Grammy Awards for Twice As Tall.
