Popular Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has addressed a now-viral clip showing an elderly woman giving her a stern look during the lavish wedding of Priscilla Ojo and her Tanzanian husband.
In the trending video, Wumi was seen enjoying herself and posing for pictures at the star-studded event. However, viewers were quick to notice an older woman visibly ignoring and staring coldly at the actress, sparking widespread discussion online.
Reacting via a live Instagram session, Wumi expressed confusion and disappointment, saying:
“Why did you give me a bad eye at the wedding? What exactly is my offence? Aside from my roles in movies, I don’t know you, and I’ve never done anything to you. I am always on my lane, minding my business.”
She hinted that the woman might be confusing her on-screen characters with her real-life personality:
“She saw me and paused. I thought maybe her eyelashes entered her eyes or something, but she was just giving me this condescending look. Whatever you think about me will go back to your children. God knows I don’t know you.”
