Barcelona has made another free agent signing. After confirming the arrival of Sergio Aguero on Monday, they’ve now brought in another Manchester City player with an expiring contract, this time center-back Eric Garcia.
The 20-year-old defender was previously in Barcelona‘s La Masia academy before making his move to England and is now returning home, a little like Gerard Pique did when he came back from Manchester United.
The Blaugrana will hope Garcia can be as impactful as Pique. Central defence is an area they’ve been looking to strengthen for some time now and the Spain international arrives to offer an alternative option at the back.
A player with a great future ahead of him, he is a defender very much suited to Barcelona‘s style of play,” the club said.
