Arsenal were unable to build on their 2-1 win over Fulham earlier in the week, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Everton at Goodison Park on April 5, 2025. Despite an early lead, Mikel Arteta’s side couldn’t capitalize on their momentum and dropped points in a crucial fixture.
Arsenal started brightly, with Leandro Trossard opening the scoring in the 33rd minute after a well-executed counterattack. However, the second half proved more challenging for the visitors. Everton found an equalizer through a penalty, with Ndiaye converting from the spot, cancelling out Arsenal’s lead.
Despite continued pressure and attempts for a winner, Arsenal couldn’t break down a resilient Everton defense, leaving the game at 1-1.
Arteta’s men will now look ahead to their UEFA Champions League semifinal against Real Madrid, as they turn their focus toward European glory.
