JAMB: EBSU releases 2025/2026 cut-off marks

The management of Ebonyi State University (EBSU), Abakaliki, has released the official cut-off marks for the 2025/2026 academic session, setting 150 as the minimum score required for admission into its various programmes.

This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the university’s Admission Officer, Mr. Innocent Izekwe.

According to the statement, the general cut-off mark of 150 aligns with guidelines from the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

However, specific faculties and departments have higher benchmarks.

Faculty-specific cut-off marks include:

Social Sciences and Humanities:

Mass Communication – 160

All other programmes – 150

Sciences:

Computer Science – 170

Other science courses – 150

Agriculture and Natural Resources Management:

All programmes – 150

Education:

All courses – 150

Engineering and Environmental Sciences:

Chemical Engineering – 170

Electrical and Electronics Engineering – 170

Civil Engineering and all Environmental courses – 150

Medicine:

Medicine and Surgery – 240

Anatomy and Physiology – 160 each

Health Science and Technology:

Nursing Science – 210

Medical Laboratory Science – 180

Law:

Minimum cut-off mark – 170

The university emphasized that prospective candidates must not only meet the cut-off mark for their chosen programmes but must also satisfy other admission requirements as stipulated by JAMB and the university.

Prospective applicants are advised to visit the university’s website or contact the admissions office for additional guidance on the application process, the statement read.
