Nollywood actress, Wumi Toriola, has lashed out at veteran filmmaker Afeez Owo for comparing her with his wife, fellow actress Mide Martins.
During an appearance on the African A-List Podcast, Afeez Owo had analyzed the personalities of both actresses, claiming that Mide’s on-screen character was different from her real-life persona, while Wumi’s movie roles closely reflect her true nature.Online movie streaming services
Mide’s character in movies is totally different from her in real life. But Wumi’s movie role is close to her real-life character. Violence is her comfort zone, Afeez said.
According to him, Wumi reacts aggressively when provoked and does not tolerate nonsense, unlike Mide, who he described as calm and reserved.
Reacting in a now-deleted Instagram video, Wumi blasted Afeez, describing his comments as rubbish.
She said: Must every rift be taken to podcasts? They gave you a mic, and you started saying rubbish. After they entertained you with pepper soup, you started blabbing. Am I a mad woman? If people don’t offend me, will I be angry? I have never insulted you before. I still respect you despite your unfortunate behaviour.
Wumi and Mide are both known for portraying fiery and hot-tempered characters in Nollywood movies.
