Omotosho will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer, Nigeria, in January 2026, following Ugbe’s exit after nearly 15 years at the helm.

During his tenure, Ugbe led the company through major industry and market shifts, reinforcing its operational base and positioning the business for long-term resilience.

Omotosho brings more than two decades of leadership experience spanning media, telecommunications and digital businesses across Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa. Within the MultiChoice Group, she has held several senior positions, including Executive Head of Customer Value Management in Nigeria and Group Executive Head of Customer Value Management for Rest of Africa, where she provided functional leadership across over 50 markets.

She most recently served as Regional Director for Southern Africa, overseeing a seven-country portfolio with full profit-and-loss responsibility.

Described as a seasoned leader with a strong track record in managing complex organisations, driving disciplined growth and building high-performing teams, Omotosho will be responsible for steering MultiChoice Nigeria’s strategy, operations and stakeholder engagement, building on the platform established by her predecessor.

Commenting on her appointment, Omotosho said it was an honour to be entrusted with the leadership of MultiChoice Nigeria at a critical time for the business, describing Nigeria as one of the group’s most strategic and dynamic markets.

She pledged to work closely with teams and partners to strengthen customer relationships, promote local storytelling and the creative economy, and build a future-ready organisation that delivers sustainable value.

The company said the leadership change followed a structured and orderly succession process, designed to ensure continuity and stability in the Nigerian operation.
