Brighton Secure Five-Year Deal for Nigerian Teenager Zadok Yohanna

Brighton & Hove Albion have reached an agreement to sign Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna from AIK Stockholm on a five-year deal running until June 2031, for an undisclosed fee.

The Premier League club announced the agreement on Saturday, stating that the transfer will be finalized once the window reopens and after standard regulatory approvals are completed.

Yohanna, who turns 19 later this month, has emerged as one of Europe’s most promising young talents following a standout season in Sweden’s top flight.

He will join the Seagulls after a breakthrough campaign with AIK, where he scored five goals and registered four assists in 18 appearances across league and cup competitions.

Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler expressed his excitement about the signing: I’m looking forward to working with Zadok. He’s a player who can make a difference in the final third. While he’s still young and will need time to adapt to the club and the Premier League, he’s an exciting talent who brings the kind of creativity our fans will love.

He’s dynamic, quick, and enjoys taking on defenders, and his skills will add to our attacking options.

Yohanna began his career at Ikon Allah Football Academy in Nigeria before moving to Sweden in 2025. He made an immediate impact at AIK, adapting quickly to European football and establishing himself as a key player.
