Controversial Nigerian cleric Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Prophet Odumeje, has candidly shared details about his past, revealing that he was once a paid fighter.
In a recent appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, the Anambra-based preacher opened up about his life before he became a well-known spiritual leader.
He recounted that, prior to his ministry, he was hired to physically confront and beat people, often staging these fights in the market for all to witness. Odumeje also noted the irony that the same market where he used to fight later became his preaching venue.
I used to be a dangerous fighter. They used to pay me to beat people. No matter how many there were, I would give them dates for their own beating inside the main market so that people would see me dealing with it,” he confessed.
