Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu has sounded the alarm over the disappearance of Nigerian fashion entrepreneur Evelyn Onyema, widely known as 44 Clothing. Gwamnishu is appealing to the public for assistance in locating her.
Onyema, founder and CEO of 44 Clothing, has reportedly been missing for two days, with her last known location recorded as Bonny Camp in Lagos State.
The activist issued his appeal on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, urging residents and workers in the area to help with the search.
In a message circulating on social media, Gwamnishu indicated that he and his team were heading to Bonny Camp to join the search efforts. He also called on anyone familiar with the area to share any information that might help determine Onyema’s whereabouts.
“We are heading to Bonny Camp now,” Gwamnishu reportedly stated, encouraging the public to get involved in the search. Online reports suggest Onyema was last seen with her boyfriend, identified as Derrick, in the Bonny Camp area.
The circumstances of her disappearance remain unclear, and there is currently no independently verified information about what happened to her.
Adding to the concern, reports indicate that Onyema’s mobile phones have been recovered, though the details around this discovery have not been independently verified.
The case has sparked widespread concern on social media, with friends, followers, and the public sharing appeals for information that could help find her. Several posts have urged residents around Bonny Camp to stay vigilant and report any credible sightings to the police or relevant authorities.
Onyema is known for building her fashion brand, 44 Clothing, in Asaba, Delta State, before relocating her business to Lagos. She has also gained a following on social media through her fashion designs and online presence.
While previous reports and online discussions have mentioned business challenges she faced in recent months, there is no verified information linking those difficulties to her disappearance.
As concern grows, the public is being urged not to spread unverified claims or speculate about the circumstances of Onyema’s disappearance.
Anyone with credible information about her whereabouts is advised to contact the nearest Nigeria Police Force station and inform her family or those involved in the search. At the time of this report, Onyema’s whereabouts remain unknown.
