Nigerian singer Omah Lay was reportedly rushed to the hospital after injuring his leg while attempting an acrobatic move during rehearsals.
A now-viral photo from the scene shows the ‘Holy Ghost’ artist lying on the floor, his left leg wrapped, as medical personnel attend to him.
Video footage also captured Omah Lay—currently on his ‘Clarity of Mind’ world tour—being placed on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance. The incident reportedly occurred in Los Angeles, California. As of now, neither Omah Lay nor his management team has released an official update on his condition.
Born Stanley Omah Didia, the singer began his career at 15, initially working as a producer before breaking out in 2020 with the viral singles ‘You’ and ‘Bad Influence.’
He released his debut album, ‘Boy Alone,’ in 2022. Known for his signature blend of Afro-fusion and introspective lyrics, Omah Lay has built a devoted global fanbase.
He was nominated for ‘Best African Music Performance’ at the 2026 Grammys for ‘With You,’ his collaboration with Davido, though the award ultimately went to South Africa’s Tyla.
Recently, Omah Lay declared himself Nigeria’s best artist of the past two decades, claiming, “I’m the best at this. I don’t mean to brag… but I am the best in the last 20 years.”
