Melania Trump Gets Hell for Heels As She Heads to Flooded Texas In Stilettos

Melania Trump found herself at the center of a Twitter firestorm on Tuesday after she was photographed heading to Corpus Christi, Texas in high heels.

Sporting a bomber jacket, aviator glasses and an all black outfit, the First Lady’s outfit was mocked mercilessly on Twitter for looking fashionable as ever alongside President Donald Trump. The main issue with her critics: heels aren’t entirely appropriate for touring an area which was totally flooded by Tropical Storm Harvey.

A spokesperson for Trump said FLOTUS will be changing into another pair of shoes aboard Marine One, but the damage was already done online, where stars like Chelsea Handler and Loni Love — along with a ton of other Twitter users — railed against her fashion choices.
