Nigerian singer Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, widely known as Bella Shmurda, has openly shared a defining experience from the early days of his music career.
In an interview on Echo Room TV, Bella revealed that while living in Okoko, he once stole a bicycle out of desperation to fund his studio sessions.
He sold the bicycle at Alaba for N7,000 and used the proceeds to pursue his musical ambitions.
Bella described the incident as a painful memory and expressed remorse, explaining that he later made amends by purchasing a new bicycle for the original owner.
Reflecting on his journey, Bella noted how this challenging period ultimately fueled his determination to succeed.
Bella Shmurda rose to prominence in 2019 after catching the attention of Olamide, whose collaboration with him propelled Bella into the spotlight of the Nigerian music industry.
