Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze is edging closer to a summer move, with Fulham reportedly leading the race to sign the AC Milan winger after a difficult spell in Italy.
Since joining Milan from Villarreal, the 25-year-old has struggled to hit top form and secure consistent playing time. The Serie A giants are now looking to offload him in the summer, having paid around €20m for his services a fee now believed to be €12m–€15m more than his current market value.
According to Sports Witness, Fulham boss Marco Silva remains keen on the Nigerian winger, having attempted to secure his signature during the January transfer window.
While Sevilla and Real Betis are also interested in bringing Chukwueze back to Spain, Fulham’s edge lies in familiarity the club already boasts fellow Super Eagles stars Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, which could help Chukwueze settle in quickly at Craven Cottage.
Fulham currently sit 9th in the Premier League, showing promise under Silva, while AC Milan mirror that position in Serie A, but trail the UEFA Conference League spot by five points.
If the deal goes through, it could be a fresh start for Chukwueze to revive his form in a system that suits his dynamic style of play.
