Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol Price Again, Now N825/Litre

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced another reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, dropping it from N890 to N825 per litre. The new price takes effect from February 27, 2025.

The refinery stated that the decision aims to provide relief to Nigerians, especially ahead of the Ramadan season, and to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery plan by easing financial burdens on citizens.

This marks the second price cut in February 2025, following an earlier reduction of N60 per litre at the beginning of the month. In December 2024, during the festive season, the refinery had also reduced PMS prices by N70.50, from N970 to N899.50 per litre.

With this latest reduction, Dangote petrol will be available at the following prices across its partner retail outlets:

  • MRS Holdings stations: N860 per litre in Lagos, N870 in the South-West, N880 in the North, and N890 in the South-South and South-East.
  • AP (Ardova Petroleum) and Heyden stations: N865 per litre in Lagos, N875 in the South-West, N885 in the North, and N895 in the South-South and South-East.

Dangote Refinery reassured Nigerians of a steady supply of petroleum products, with enough reserves for local consumption and exports to boost foreign exchange earnings. The company urged marketers to support the initiative, ensuring that the price cuts benefit the people directly.
