Afrobeats star Davido is opening up about his close bond with his billionaire father, Dr. Deji Adeleke, revealing that he still receives financial support even after becoming a global music sensation.
In a recent interview with Club Radio, the DMW boss shared a heartwarming story of how his dad once sent him $300,000 after watching him perform at State Farm Arena.
“I’m his baby, of course my dad still gives me a cheque…” Davido said, smiling.
Though the singer clarified that he uses money from his music to fund his albums and other music-related expenses, he made it clear that his father still shows up for him in big ways both emotionally and financially.
"My Dad came to my show at State Farm and the next day, he just called me and wired me $300,000"
