D’Banj beat the likes of Davido, Akon, 2Face and more to to win the award for “Best Selling African Artiste” at the 2014 World Music Awards held on Tuesday 27th May 2014 at the Salle des Etoiles in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Banga Lee also performed on the same stage as Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Flo Rida, Ricky Martin and Tinie Tempah.
