The family of Sylvester Oromoni, who died after he was allegedly beaten by some students at Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos, has filed a petition against controversial blogger Kemi Olunloyo.

The petition was filed over some comments Olunloyo reportedly made concerning the death of their son. The blogger was reported to have said that the 12-year-old boy agreed to be assaulted as part of a cult initiation ritual.
The family was peeved that the blogger levelled such an allegation against their son.
The petition was filed on behalf of the family by the Chambers of Femi Falana, SAN.
