Imohiosen Patrick, a disc jockey (DJ) better known as Neptune, has come through with the Icons remix of ‘Nobody’.
Neptune announced the release of the project, featuring Joeboy and Laycon, winner of this year’s edition of the Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) reality TV show, on Thursday.
The song is believed to be dedicated to fans of the BBNaija winner known as Icons.
The less than three-minute song sees the singers crooning about the women of their lives and their willingness to brace the odds for the sake of love.
“Chale you know I’m a bad boy but the love l go give na the mad one…100% you na fine one, what an icon…baby l know you’re the right one and nobody comes close…,” Laycon could be heard singing in a mixture of pidgin English.
The original version of the song was Neptune’s collaborative single with Mr Eazi and Joeboy, featuring Focalistic.
The song is said to be the third single off ‘The Greatness II’, his forthcoming project.
Neptune has established his brand as one to reckon with. His works span Hip Hop, Afrobeats, Funky House, Dancehall, R&B, among other music genres.
He is known for tracks like ‘Tomorrow’; ‘Demo’ with Davido; ‘1,2,3’ with M.I and late Da Grin; ‘So Nice’ featuring Davido and Del B; ‘Wait’ with Kizz Daniel, among others.
