Nigerian singer Zlatan Ibile and his partner, Davita Lamai, touched down in Marrakesh, Morocco, on Tuesday in anticipation of their upcoming white wedding.
Videos circulating online capture the couple being warmly received at a welcome party attended by friends and family. In a traditional display, both Zlatan and Davita were carried into the venue separately on an “amaria,” each supported by four men.
In traditional Moroccan and North African wedding customs, the bride and groom are carried on an amaria as a grand entrance during the ceremony.
Davido, Carter Efe, and Tunde Perry were among the celebrities who attended the occasion. The couple hosted the welcome party to kick off the celebrations ahead of the main ceremony.
Zlatan and Lamai have been together for several years and are proud parents to two sons, Shiloh and Benaiah. In October, the couple celebrated their union with a glamorous traditional wedding in Lagos attended by numerous celebrities.
Zlatan, who broke into the spotlight in 2019, is renowned for chart-topping hits like “Zanku,” “Shotan,” and “Lagos Anthem.” His dynamic performances and strong street appeal have earned him a devoted following. Blending Afrobeats, hip-hop, and indigenous rhythms, Zlatan has carved out a distinctive sound, garnering multiple awards throughout his career. His momentum continues with recent projects, including his 2025 release, “Symbol of Hope.”
Lamai, meanwhile, is a UK-based influencer celebrated for her distinctive style. She is a graduate of the University of Birmingham.
