Elon Musk no longer the world’s richest man after losing 15 billion dollars in one day

SpaceX founder Elon Musk is no longer the world’s richest man after 15.2 billion dollars was knocked off his overall wealth.

The reason behind this is, in all likelihood, as a result of Bitcoin plummeting for a second consecutive day.

Tesla, Musk’s electric car company, saw its stocks drop by 8.6 percent which equates to 15.2 billion dollars of net value.

On February 8, it was announced that Tesla had purchased 1.5 million dollars worth of Bitcoin.

Bezos takes over

As a result of Elon Musk’s plummet, he is now in second place of Bloomberg richest 500 index with a fortune worth 183.4 billion dollars.

Jeff Bezos of Amazon has regained top spot, who has a wealth of 186.3 billion dollars, although this will certainly not be the last time that the two exchange places
