Nigerian music sensation Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, widely known as Joeboy, recently surprised fans by revealing his thoughts on marriage during an interview with Madame Joyce.
Joeboy shared that he is a strong advocate for early marriage, expressing his desire to tie the knot in his 20s and eventually have teenage children while still in his 40s.
He referenced an interview with actor Timini, whom he described as the “ideal playboy, noting that even someone like Timini regretted not marrying early.
This, Joeboy explained, made him reflect on the appeal of starting a family sooner rather than later. “Marrying early to someone you genuinely love is beautiful, Joeboy said. Imagine being 40 and having a 16-year-old child—that’s really cute.
But marriage isn’t just about doing it when it seems cool. If it feels right and you truly love the person, then go for it.”
Joeboy also hinted at his preference for keeping his personal life private, adding, “Honestly, I’d rather get married early. But if I were to get married now, nobody would know. Maybe when I have three kids, people will finally find out Joeboy has a whole family somewhere.”
