Napoli striker Victor Osimhen could be on his way to Liverpool this summer as part of a swap deal involving Darwin Nunez.
Nunez joined Liverpool in 2022 from Portuguese club Benfica for a huge fee of €85 million. Despite this, the Uruguayan forward has not been able to find consistent form at Anfield. Over the past three seasons, he has scored 25 goals and provided 16 assists in 95 Premier League games. Many fans and football analysts believe these numbers are not enough for a top striker at a club like Liverpool, who have high ambitions every season.
Liverpool, who recently won the Premier League title, are looking to strengthen their attack further before the new season begins. However, they are only planning to spend big on a new striker if they can offload Nunez to another club. This situation has now created an opportunity for a possible swap deal with Napoli involving Victor Osimhen.
Bruno Satin, a well-known football agent who works with B&S Partners, has confirmed that Liverpool are interested in signing Osimhen. In an interview with Italian radio station Kiss Kiss Napoli, Satin described both strikers and hinted at why such a deal could happen.
He said:
Osimhen is an unpredictable guy. Nobody really knows where he will go next.
Nunez is strong and physically powerful, like an animal, but he is also very fast. A player like him would make a big difference in Serie A. I know things are no longer going well for him at Liverpool, and his wife also wants to leave England.
Victor Osimhen has been one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers in recent years, after helping Napoli win the Serie A title and scoring many important goals for the club. His move to Liverpool would boost their attack, especially as they prepare to defend their Premier League title and challenge in the Champions League.
