Real Betis have named Manuel Pellegrini as their new coach, as of next season.
The 66-year-old has signed a contract at the Estadio Benito Villamarin until June 30, 2023.
Real Betis had been interested in the Chilean on a number of times in the past and now they’ve finally brought him in.
Pellegrini‘s most recent job was in the Premier League with West Ham after he had spent two seasons in China.
Having spent time in charge of Villarreal, Real Madrid and Malaga, Pellegrini is familiar with LaLiga Santander and Spanish football.
During his spell at Malaga, Pellegrini took the side to the Champions League quarter-finals.
Current Real Betis captain Joaquin Sanchez worked under his orders there before the Spaniard left for Fiorentina and the coach left for Manchester City.
