Mavin Records, the renowned Nigerian record label founded by Don Jazzy, has formally disassociated itself from Lotanna Harry, clarifying that he is not an employee, agent, or representative of the company in any capacity.
In an official statement shared on its X (formerly Twitter) account, Mavin Records stated that Harry has been falsely presenting himself as an agent, intermediary, or authorized associate of the label. The company emphasized:
“We, as internal attorneys for MG ENTERTAINMENT NIGERIA LIMITED (formerly Mavin Records, now Mavin), hereby issue this formal notice regarding Lotanna Harry, who has misrepresented himself as an agent, representative, intermediary, or authorized associate of the Company.”
Mavin Records categorically denied any association beyond Harry’s previous engagement as a paid video model on a subcontract basis for certain music videos. The company further declared:
“Lotanna Harry, whose image accompanies this notice, has never at any time been appointed, engaged, authorized, or mandated by the Company to act as its agent, representative, intermediary, or authorized person in any capacity whatsoever.”
The statement warned that Harry has no authority to use Mavin’s name, brand, business relationships, or purport to act on the company’s behalf for any reason. Any actions, negotiations, or commitments made by Harry in Mavin’s name are unauthorized and do not bind the label in any way.
“All persons are expressly warned not to deal with or rely on any representation made by Lotanna Harry as being authorized by the Company. Anyone who chooses to engage with him based on such claims does so entirely at their own risk.”
Mavin Records reserved the right to pursue legal action against Harry or others involved in unauthorized representations. The company concluded: “For the avoidance of doubt, Lotanna Harry is not an agent, representative, or authorized intermediary of Mavin. No statement or act by him should be interpreted otherwise.”
