Nigerian media personality Nedu Wazobia has voiced concern over the escalating cost of living in the country, describing survival as a daily struggle.
In a recent video, Nedu highlighted the soaring expenses of essential needs such as school fees, rent, food, transportation, fuel, and healthcare. He noted that many Nigerians are unable to make ends meet, even with steady jobs, due to overwhelming financial pressures.
Nedu lamented that these hardships have pushed some people to take desperate measures, including engaging in acts they never imagined—hurting others, betraying trust, and cutting corners—not out of inherent malice, but out of a sheer need to survive.
People are doing things they never thought they would do, not because they were born wicked, but because survival has become a daily battle in this country.
All we want is an economy where hard work actually pays off, where parents can provide for their children without undue stress, and where ordinary Nigerians can wake up with a little less fear and a little more hope. That is the least we deserve,” he stated.
