Peller Slams Nigerians Over TikTok Rant Challenge, Fears Government Ban

Popular content creator, Peller, has sparked controversy after blasting Nigerians participating in the ongoing 30-Day-Rant Challenge on TikTok.

The challenge, which allows Nigerians to air their grievances about the state of the nation, has gained traction, but Peller finds it frustrating. In a video, he warned participants to take their rants elsewhere, arguing that their actions could lead to TikTok being banned in Nigeria.

“If you really want to rant, go to the market. Stop ranting on TikTok—take it to Instagram. Don’t let the government ban TikTok. Don’t take food out of our mouths,” he said.

His comments have drawn backlash online, with many criticizing his stance.

Reactions include:
🔹 meet_gaga: “This is the Sun Influencer of the Year in a country where the average citizen lives below $2/day.”
🔹 oneheart_but_two: “Some people’s grace is quite questionable, because wtf 😒.”
🔹 angel_uriel_oreoluwa: “If not for TikTok money, this boy would be washing cars at a car wash stand.”

Peller’s remarks have reignited debates about social media activism and whether online protests truly influence change or merely disrupt digital spaces.
