Armed security operatives were at Suitorial Hotels, Lokoja, Kogi state, where Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo state, lodged ahead of Saturday’s election.
Makinde is the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign council for the Kogi election.
Hakeem Busari, commissioner of police in the state, said the policemen visited the hotel following a tip off that hoodlums were there.
