The royals show the baby to the world
According to Nicholl, there was an “unwritten contract between the royals and the public,” to show the baby to the world at the stairs of the hospital, speak to the people who were there to wish the new parents well, answer a few questions, and drive away to their home, however, they did things differently.
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor
Meghan Merkle gave birth to Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor in May 6th of 2019, but they had a plan to make the Kansas City Shuffle and fool the press.
“Harry had always enjoyed outfoxing the media,” Nicholl mentioned “He and Meghan were thrilled to be safely delivered of their son in London’s private Portland hospital even before the palace press office had confirmed the duchess was in labor.”
After that, they had to present Archie to the world and they met with the press
“But it all felt stage-managed, with pre-approved questions, one journalist, and one photographer,” Nicholl continued “It demonstrated the growing gulf between public expectations of Harry and what he felt obliged to give.”
Everyone was uncomfortable
However, Merkel was seen clearly uncomfortable at the photo shoot and even Kate Middleton could attest that she found the photo session difficult.
Both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have kept the names of Archie’s godparents under wraps to have some kind of privacy
