Barcelona returned to winning ways on Sunday with a 3–1 victory over Elche in La Liga, thanks to goals from Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres, and Marcus Rashford.
The win helped Hansi Flick’s men recover from last weekend’s El Clasico defeat to Real Madrid, moving them back to second place — five points behind the leaders.
Teenage star Yamal opened the scoring after nine minutes, finishing calmly past former Barca goalkeeper Iñaki Peña. Three minutes later, Ferran Torres doubled the lead with a simple tap-in from Fermin Lopez’s low cross.
Elche, managed by ex-Barca assistant Eder Sarabia, refused to back down. Rafa Mir pulled one back before halftime, firing past Wojciech Szczesny after breaking free from the halfway line.
Barca’s defensive struggles continued as Mir struck the woodwork twice in the second half. But Marcus Rashford sealed the win late on with a well-placed finish from Lopez’s cross, his second league goal of the season.
Despite missing key players like Pedri, Gavi, and Joan Garcia, Barcelona showed enough attacking firepower to end their two-game slump and keep their title hopes alive.
