Roy Keane Backs Kevin De Bruyne for Manchester United Move After Manchester City Exit

Roy Keane has raised eyebrows by suggesting that Kevin De Bruyne could be a great fit for Manchester United once he leaves Manchester City at the end of the season.

De Bruyne, who has been an integral part of City’s success over the past decade, will depart when his contract expires after City confirmed they would not be renewing it. While speculation has linked the 33-year-old to moves to Saudi Arabia or the United States, Keane believes a return to Manchester United could be a real possibility for the Belgian playmaker.

On Sky Sports, the former United captain pointed out that De Bruyne would have no trouble adjusting to life at Old Trafford, noting that he’d essentially be staying in the same city.
“United? He wouldn’t have to move house,” Keane said. “We know how ruthless Man City can be at a certain age. Give him time on the ball and he will punish you, all he needs is a moment. As much as you try and stop him, you can’t in certain areas.”

While De Bruyne has been linked with a Chelsea return, Keane’s endorsement adds fuel to the fire for a potential switch to United.

With City’s title chances fading and their Champions League hopes dashed, De Bruyne could still end his time at City on a high note by helping them secure the FA Cup when they face Nottingham Forest in the semi-finals this week.
