The Saudi Arabian Government has declared Tuesday, June 4th as the first of Shawwal, saying, Eid Al-Fitr celebrations should commence.
Sighting of the moon, which marks the end of the Ramadhan fasting, further signified the beginning of the islamic month of Shawwal.
The Saudi Supreme Court, in a statement on Monday has announced that the Shawwal crescent moon was visible in some parts of the Kingdom.
It would be recalled that the court on Saturday called on all Muslims throughout Saudi Arabia to try and spot the crescent on Monday evening, Ramadan 29, 1440H,
corresponding to June 3, 2019.
