Popular Nigerian comedian Seyi Law has reaffirmed his unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring that no current politician including Peter Obi or Atiku Abubakar has what it takes to fix Nigeria if Tinubu fails.
Speaking on the Teju Babyface Deep Dive podcast, the outspoken entertainer who campaigned for Tinubu during the 2023 elections said his backing isn’t rooted in sentiment but deep belief in Tinubu’s leadership.
“If Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot redirect the ship of Nigeria, no politician currently can do it. None! Not Atiku, not Peter Obi, none of them. Not with what I know about all of them,” Seyi Law asserted.
He went further to criticize both Obi and Atiku, citing alleged past controversies. He recalled a case during Peter Obi’s tenure in Anambra, where an aide was allegedly caught with N200 million cash, claiming it was meant for a contract. He also referenced Obi’s public fallout with successor Willie Obiano, who once accused him of demanding N7.5 billion.
“Google it,” Seyi Law said, challenging listeners to fact check the claims. “But you don’t know about that because you choose to be blind by your followership.”
The comedian called out what he described as selective outrage among Nigerians, saying people turn a blind eye to allegations when it involves their preferred candidates.
Despite anticipating backlash, Seyi Law insisted that his stance is about Nigeria’s future and the sacrifices he believes are necessary today for future generations to thrive.
His comments have since sparked fresh debate online, with fans and critics weighing in on his political loyalty and the state of leadership in Nigeria.
