There has been a lot of talk about Shakira and Gerard Pique in recent months following the news that the couple had split up.
One of the main talking points was where their children will live, and it looks like they have settled on Miami.
Beatriz Cortazar of ‘El Programa de Ana Rosa’ has revealed all the details of the agreement between the two parties.
The negotiations were carried out by lawyers, and although there were some delays, an agreement has finally been reached.
What does the agreement contain?
As reported by Cortazar, the parties decided that the children will live in Miami with the Colombian singer, on the condition that the footballer will be able to see his children during vacation periods, and 10 days every month.
“The decision regarding the children is key and has helped them reach an agreement,” said Cortazar.
Although Pique wanted the children to live in Barcelona for the next two years, things have been difficult for Milan and Sasha in recent times.
“They are at an age where they hear comments about their father’s new life and they would rather be away from the spotlight,” explained Cortazar.
She also adds that Pique’s current girlfriend, Clara Chia, played a role in the agreement, as she convinced him to reach a decision ‘for the sake of the children’.
“In Miami they will have a more relaxed life and will be able to enjoy the anonymity that would be impossible in Barcelona”, said Cortazar.
