Paramedics helped injured crowd members during Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Kei Nishikori’s French Open quarter-final after a piece of metal was blown into the stands by high winds.
The metal panel, which has spikes on it to deter pigeons, fell onto spectators on Roland Garros’s main arena Court Philippe Chatrier on Tuesday.
At least three spectators were hurt, according to officials, by the sheet which was blown from the left corner of the big screen which displays replays and the scoreboard.
