Nollywood actress and film producer Toyin Abraham has revealed that she recently suffered a miscarriage at four months pregnant.
Speaking at the Bestie Jesu Concert 2026 in Lagos on Saturday, Abraham shared her experience and expressed gratitude to Bolaji Idowu, lead pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, for his spiritual support during the ordeal.
Abraham recounted that the miscarriage occurred while she was on a film set. “I was four months pregnant, but I lost it. But guess what, I was filming, so I was down,” she said.
She explained that she hesitated to inform her parents about the loss, particularly out of concern for her mother’s age. “I didn’t want to call my parents; you know how it is when you don’t want to… my mom is old, and I didn’t want to call my mom,” she said.
I just told my husband, but that day he was far away, and guess who I called? I just called Pastor Bolaji. He just started praying for me, and he said, ‘Where are you?’ I said, ‘I’m on my way to the hospital.’
This is not the first time Abraham has spoken publicly about pregnancy loss. In 2022, she disclosed that she had experienced a miscarriage and shared her longing to have more children. “I had the plan to have more kids. I was actually pregnant, but I lost it recently,” she had revealed.
Abraham married Kolawole Ajeyemi in July 2019, and the couple welcomed their first child, Ire, in August of the same year.
