Nigerian singer Damilola Afolabi, widely recognized by his stage name L.A.X, has officially tied the knot with his partner, Ella, in a romantic ceremony held in Malta.
The announcement was made by L.A.X on Instagram on Wednesday, where he shared that they exchanged vows in what he called “the most beautiful city.
Confirming their union, L.A.X wrote: Legally hitched to the love of my life, in the most beautiful city. Malta, you have our hearts.
The wedding comes after the couple’s formal engagement, which took place on January 16, 2026.
L.A.X launched his music career as a rapper during his secondary school years, performing with a group called Flyboiz before embarking on a solo journey. His breakthrough moment arrived in 2013 with the release of “Caro,” a chart-topping collaboration with Wizkid under the Starboy Entertainment label. The song earned a nomination for Hottest Single of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Building on this success, L.A.X teamed up with Wizkid again for the single “Ginger,” further establishing his reputation in the industry. He later founded his own independent label, Rasaki Music.
