Manchester City have strengthened their midfield with the signing of Argentina international Enzo Fernández from Chelsea, finalized on Tuesday as the Premier League’s summer transfer window ended amid a whirlwind of high-profile moves.
The 25-year-old World Cup and Copa America winner has agreed to a five-year deal, keeping him at the Etihad Stadium until 2031 and marking the conclusion of his stint at Chelsea. Speaking after the announcement, Fernández expressed his excitement at joining Enzo Maresca’s side and his determination to continue collecting silverware.

Meanwhile, Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has joined Serie A club Como on a season-long loan after making 112 appearances for the Blues since arriving from Brighton and Hove Albion in August 2023.
During his time at Chelsea, Sanchez helped the team claim the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup titles before his move to Italy.
Ukraine international Mykhailo Mudryk has also secured a season-long loan, reuniting with head coach Roberto De Zerbi, with whom he previously worked earlier in his career. “It’s a great feeling.
I can’t wait to start training and playing for the club, and I’m so excited to be reunited with Roberto De Zerbi,” Mudryk commented.

Fofana Joins Sunderland
Belgian winger Malick Fofana has signed a long-term deal with Sunderland after his move from Olympique Lyonnais. The 21-year-old becomes Sunderland’s fifth addition of the summer, having made 82 appearances for Lyon, netting 18 goals and providing six assists.

The 30-year-old England international featured in 20 Premier League matches for Everton last season, scoring two goals and registering six assists before a foot injury in February ended his campaign prematurely.
