LeBron James was powerless to stop Stephen Curry leading the Golden State Warriors to championship glory with a 105-97 win that sealed a 4-2 series victory.
Curry and Andre Iguodala, who was surprisingly named the Finals MVP, spearheaded the Warriors’ attack, both chalking up 25 points.
With 32 points, 18 rebounds and nine assists, LeBron just missed out on another triple-double, but his exploits were not enough to deny the best team in the league.
The Warriors’ first title in 40 years capped off a dream campaign in which they also compiled the best regular-season record (67 wins and 15 losses), thanks in no small part to the form of regular-season MVP Curry.
