Okiki Adeshina, the Nigerian actor popularly known as Janmole, has passed away after a tragic accident.
The sad news was announced by Bolaji ‘Mr Latin’ Amusan, president of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), in an Instagram post. According to Mr Latin, Adeshina succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
He offered prayers for the late actor, asking for divine comfort for his grieving family and peaceful rest for Adeshina. May God grant his family, friends, and colleagues the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss. He will be greatly missed. Amen.
Fans and colleagues flooded the comment section of the post with heartfelt condolences.
In his tribute, fellow film star Jomiloju Olunbe wrote: Haaaaaaa Okiki Adesina Oshin. Jomiloiu, won’t I be in your video? I told him to join me now that the video is for him. He laughed and joined. I never knew it would be the last time on set with him. In this very video, he was saying, ‘Jomiloju, I no know say I fine pass you like this o.’ What a life! R.I.P Okiki Adeshina Oshin.
Okiki Adeshina was celebrated for his roles in Yoruba-language films and had recently gained a following on TikTok, connecting with thousands of fans. His notable movie credits include ‘Agunbaniro’, ‘Ìyàwó Asante’, and ‘Ọgbọ́n Inu’.
